Background to Train to Safety Seminars

2014 – 2017

Over the years we have regularly met with our important clients, informally and collectively on an evening to help and support them and even to help and encourage each to help each other. One evening came a request for an update on health and safety over the last 12 months as in the wake of the Lofstedt report 2013 and the Young Review 2014, the health and safety landscape was changing rapidly. We agreed that this would take a little time to do justice so we developed a presentation and delivered it over one full morning to around 24 local health and safety managers. The venue was the perfectly adequate Dunston Innovation Centre, Chesterfield, which was a resounding success and resulted in the requirement for a further update in 2016.

Our annual health and safety seminar therefore became established and in 2017, we moved its location to Ringwood Hall Hotel near Chesterfield to accommodate larger number of delegates, plus a handful of suppliers wanting to show and demonstrate their ground breaking technologies and also for a more relaxing atmosphere.

For our 2018 seminar, we decided on yet another location change, to keep it fresh and increase the level of attraction. The location for this year’s venue was chosen to be the Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield on 19th April 2018. More information about this to follow in coming blog articles.
